[LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING "70506-0028" TYPE I JACKET 1936 506XX]
LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING captures the spirit and history of American workwear while carefully recreating the fits, fabrics and details of a bygone era. Based on more than 20,000 valuable archives stored at Levi's San Francisco headquarters, we have developed timeless items by reviving iconic reprint items representing each era and Levi's precious history. I'm here.
This time we renewed the fabric. It will be made with organic cotton.
One of the reasons for adopting organic cotton is one of Levi's environmentally friendly product development, which is common to all developments.
This is a denim jacket born in 1936, lot number 506XX, commonly known as "1st".
1936 was the year that Levi's iconic Type 1 jacket was born, and nothing epitomizes American labor like Levi's 1936 Type I jacket, cut from durable selvedge denim that has long been associated with American workers. It has been considered an informal uniform worn by men.
The fabric used for Levi's vintage clothing is made by Kaihara, a leading denim manufacturer in Japan.
It is a special fabric that realistically reproduces the texture of the rough denim manufactured by Cone Mills at that time with high technology in Japan. The 506XX uses slightly light-ounce denim with little fuzz.
Denim woven with an old-fashioned shuttle machine has a width of about 27 to 29 inches, and both ends are sewn with red thread (red selvedge). Since the product is made using the fabric to the fullest extent, the selvedge can be seen on the back of the placket, creating a detail called red ears.
This denim retains the original unevenness of the cotton yarn, so it is one of the attractions that the unique texture increases as you wear it.
The big appeal of the 1st is the rugged appearance of the box type, the two front pleats and box stitching on the placket, the one chest pocket, the exposed copper rivets and the cinch back of copper parts that can adjust the fit. It also features a two-horse leather patch that represents the quality of the denim and a label with “XX”.
1936 was the first year that the red tab with a capital "E" was attached to Levi's products, faithfully reproducing the denim fabric of the time, and the details from the sewing thread to the rivets and buttons are also faithfully reproduced. .
The silhouette is an authentic style.
The body width and armholes are moderately roomy and can be matched with any style such as T-shirts and sweatshirts.
* Only size 46 has a T-BACK.
※Notes※
- Metal fittings such as buttons, rivets, zippers, and buckles may injure the body or other objects, so please handle with care.
- Because denim is woven on old-fashioned power looms, there may be unevenness, small scratches, or balls in the fabric. However, these are not defective products but genuine products, so please understand that we cannot accept exchanges or returns.
- Jeans may have creases. These may be creases from storage at our store, or from storage by the manufacturer, but in any case, creases from folding are not defective products but genuine products, so please understand that we cannot accept exchanges or returns.
- Denim may transfer color, so please be careful when washing and what you wear with it.
